We adopted four ex-battery chickens yesterday from those wonderful people at The British Hen Welfare Trust.

We thought that since they have had a hard start in life, they deserved their own page and blog so you can read about their adventures by clicking here, or simply by clicking on ‘Chickens’ on the link bar in the top right hand corner.

Both myself and my wife want to give huge thank yous to @NoodlesBarkoni and all the other tireless volunteers for The British Hen Welfare Trust, as they have given us the opportunity to give these hens a better life. Seeing how happy they looked with grass under their feet is enough reward, but by the sounds I heard this morning when I let them out, it sounds as if we may be blessed with an egg fairly shortly as well!
